I often have to reestablish routes etc when my IP address from my PC changes, I've always had issues using host name not actually getting a route too. Not sure of a way to automate this, possibly the Beckhoff Automation interface? |

OK, I am using IPs and they are static... Seems I have to take a deeper dive into Beckhoff Automation Interface... |

This is not pyads specific but as there are probably knowledgeable people around here, let me still ask:
I experience problems that the route between the Beckhoff PLC and a Windows PC (running pyads scripts) is not automatically reestablished after the Windows PC reboots (e.g. due to updates).
The awkward workaround is that on the PLC, I only need to enter the route editor via the tray tool, click on "Add", do a Broadcast Search once and this is usually enough to trigger the route being reestablished (without altering the routing data).
First, I don't understand the behavior. If anyone can enlighten me or point me to helpful docs - super appreciated!
And then of course, consequently: How can I get that behavior automated? Is there a way to trigger a broadcast search from PowerShell or pyads?
Ah, detail: Invoking the Broadcast Search from the Windows PC does not seem to have the same healing effect...
