modal component + custom_actions

I am not familiar with modal boxes and I am stuck with a basic problem : how to pass correctly a variable from a table to the iframe ?
I have a forum where the users can attached document (local ou online) to a post. I have table to show all the post with an custom_actions icon to open a window to show the document or documents attached to the post :

'id={id}' as embed is not supported. Currently there is no other way than creating one modal per line in your table.
