Become a sponsor to Michael Lip
I'm Michael, an open source developer in Warsaw. Sponsorship pays for the hours, servers and API bills behind everything below, so each dollar turns into working time on code people use.
I fix bugs in projects I depend on. More than 300 of my pull requests have been merged in 200+ repositories I don't own, including urllib3, Appium, Prefect, OWASP cve-lite-cli, Medusa, AnythingLLM and Google's Chrome extension samples. Each one is public, so you can read exactly what I ship. Three of my security reports became CVEs in nltk.
I also build my own projects in the open, grouped in 12 GitHub organizations. Zovo has 108 Chrome extensions with more than 150,000 users, plus extension security tools and 58 MCP servers. NoteMods has 123 Obsidian plugins in the community directory, the most of any author. ml0x holds guardrails and exact math for LLM work. The rest hold the small libraries behind my calculator and SEO sites.
Your sponsorship keeps the free tiers of those tools online and pays for the upstream fixes I send every week.
If your company depends on an open source project, the team tiers buy monthly maintenance hours on the repos you choose. You get a written plan each month and a public pull request for every fix. Everything is async, so there are no calls.
$3 a month
SelectYou cover one user's backend cost for a month. Your name lands on my sponsors page and you get a thank you. Small, and it genuinely keeps a free tier alive.
$5 a month
SelectObsidian plugins Pro, monthly. This tier turns on the Pro features in my Obsidian plugins while you sponsor. Each plugin lists its Pro features in its README and in its settings. To turn on Pro, open the plugin settings in Obsidian, choose Sign in with GitHub, and enter the code that GitHub shows. The plugin then asks GitHub two things: does your account sponsor theluckystrike, and how much has it paid in total. It collects no other data. When you have paid $15 in total, Pro stays on even after you cancel.
$10 a month
SelectYou fund about an hour of maintenance a month, which is one real bug fix or one dependency bump on an extension you use. You get a sponsor badge on your profile.
$25 a month
SelectEverything above, plus a monthly note on what I shipped and what is next, and your feature requests move to the front of the queue.
$100 a month
SelectYou fund the revival of a dead extension of your choice, or priority support for your team. Everything above, plus a logo or link on the relevant repo README and a direct line to me.
$750 a month
SelectFor a company that depends on an open source project. I'll spend up to 6 hours a month on the repos you choose: translation and docs drift, dependency and CI upkeep, and triage of an issue label you name. You'll get a written plan at the start of each month and a public pull request for every fix. It's all async, with no calls, and you can cancel anytime.
$1,500 a month
SelectUp to 10 hours a month on the repos you choose, on the same terms as Team upkeep. It adds upgrade work across major releases, and you'll get a written summary at the end of each month. It's all async, with no calls, and you can cancel anytime.
