Add a feature to hide/show the side menus and/or top/bottom navigations

Sometimes users want to utilize the whole width for the main text. So hiding the side menus is mandatory.
Some users also want to utilize the full height for the main text. Hiding the navigation bar at the top is also mandatory. Please consider adding this feature.

Please consider using a third party theme https://sphinx-themes.org/. Many of these have more refined layout that the builtin ones, in particular many newer ones are responsive and hide the menu automatically when horizontal space is reduced.

A good option for you might be furo, which does not have a top bar, so maximizes vertical space and will responsively fold the sidebar.
