# Several rules here are written WITHOUT a trailing slash on purpose - every rule below that has no
# trailing slash is deliberate. A trailing slash matches a directory only, and git classifies a symlink as a
# file, so `node_modules/` does not cover `node_modules -> /elsewhere` and `git add -A` stages the
# link. A bare name still ignores the directory's whole contents; it also ignores a regular file of
