A quick and honest update on this. I have weighed up what I can actually keep up with, and personalized contributor posts are not in it. I am not going to be writing them after all, and I would rather say that plainly than let the idea quietly rot. The page is still there. If you want to write about your own merged work, please do — post it yourself and tag the page. That part needs nothing from me, and I will happily share it. The reason is simple. I am job-hunting right now, and I am paying for this project's infrastructure out of my own pocket while I do it. It costs real money every day and I am covering that at a loss. Anything that does not either move the code forward or help me get hired has to give, and this was the honest candidate. Maybe later I can hand this part off and pick it back up. What I am not cutting is the work itself. Reviews, merges, releases, and answering people who turn up here — that bar stays, and I do try to give it the attention it deserves. Thank you to everyone who has sent a patch. Genuinely, it matters. Good luck to all of us. |

Update, 14 September: the project now has a Discord server, opened and run by @thegoodengineer — https://discord.gg/wawKsdTtJ. The post above is rewritten around both places (Discord and LinkedIn) and the thank-you list is refreshed to everyone with merged pull requests over the last 30 days. Nothing else changed: no personalized posts, decisions stay in issues and pull requests. @thegoodengineer one ask: please set the invite to never expire (Discord defaults to seven days) — the README will link it once #5900 lands. |

Two places to find the project outside the repository.
Discord. A contributor opened a server for the project: https://discord.gg/wawKsdTtJ. @thegoodengineer runs it; I will be there, but the day-to-day is theirs. Use it for questions that do not fit an issue, for finding a reviewer, and for coordinating who takes what. Decisions still happen in issues and pull requests, so anything that should be on the record goes there.
LinkedIn. The project page is https://www.linkedin.com/company/bernstein-run/ and release notes go there. If you write about your own merged work, tag the page and I will share it. I am not writing personalized contributor posts myself — the comment from 5 September below says why, and that has not changed.
Thanks to everyone with merged pull requests over the last 30 days, apart from the maintainer — 43 people. The list is a thank-you, not a shortlist.
