After uploading microdata and metadata files and specifying tables, when hitting Compute Tables, I receive message "ExploreFile went wrong in line() File not found". I am sure that I have microdata file correct and in line with the metadata file. I do not understand what is wrong.

Based on this limited information it is hard to say what is the exact problem. The File not found however suggests something with file-name, not file-content.
Possibilities:
Version 4.1.7 did not detect UNC paths correctly. It might be that you are using UNC paths? (i.e., often network paths like \\servername\directoryname\filename, see here as well). Versions 4.2.x can deal with UNC paths correctly.
Workaround for 4.1.7: make mapping to a drive letter, e.g., make a network connection Z:\ that is mapping to \\servername\directoryname\.
Tau-argus cannot deal with special characters in directory or file names (like accented characters, or greek characters, or finish characters, ...)
The error may relate to the microdatafile, but e.g. also to hierarchy files (if used).
