Hi! maybe it's not exactly the right place to ask, but I hope you can help.

Is there are way to make search results in nano more visible? When search result is found it only sets the cursor to it's posision and it's very hard to visually find it on page.

I searched everywhere — found nothin on how to configure this behavour.

My Nano will highlight searched results. May I know which version of Nano are you using? Because I remembered it is a pretty recent version that support this.

Dear @davidhcefx, thank you for you reply. I often setup new servers on debian and always get the latest version of Nano from apt. Currently it's version 7.2.
On my local linux highlighting works fine, like on your screenshot. On some client's servers it works the same way.
But on some others there's no highlighting, only the cursor is set to found value.

I've read the nano documentation and couldn't find the parameter, responsible for search result highlighting. Does it exist?

@konstantin83 I don’t remember of such a setting. On those clients that wouldn’t highlight results, did you try and see if Vim’s search result would be highlighted? Maybe it’s related to the terminal capability

Hmm, that’s weird. @konstantin83 Would you like to send a mail to the GNU Nano help list? The author might try to help you on this.
