Subject description occurs on Ventura 13.1 M1 Silicone where "whitenormal" is called out. I deleted the offending line and moved on with my day.

Commenting off the line number 26 in nanorc.nanorc seems to have resolved this for me (on nano v8.2)

# icolor brightnormal " brightnormal"
