[BUG] OmniSearch stuck with search keyword p etc

Problem description:

Similar to reported and resolved BUG #56.

I am trying to search keyword "project", but before I can complete typing the whole word, OmniSearch stuck/froze. I have to force quit Obsidian and restart to resume Obsidian notetaking.

The specific symptoms are:

• When I type p in the OmniSearch, it stuck/froze.
• If I type fast enough, I managed to input proj before OmniSearch stuck/froze.
• If I leave it long enough (a few minutes) searching for p, OmniSearch eventually returned the results. However, as soon as I typed the subsequent r (now with keyword pr), OmniSearch stuck/froze.
• After results returned for pr, I backspace/delete r from search (i.e. search for p), OmniSearch stuck/froze.

• Omnisearch version: v1.25.2
• Obsidian version: v1.7.7
• Operating system: macOS 15.2
• Number of indexed documents in your vault (approx.): ~1400

Things Tried:

• Does the problem occur when Omnisearch is the only active community plugin: Yes
• Does the problem occur when you don't index PDFs, images, or other non-notes files: Yes
• Does the problem occur after a cache reset: Yes
• I have tried re-installing OmniSearch, and the issue still occurs after.

I think it's a similar issue to #208. You can try enabling the "Simpler search" and see if that improves the latency

Hi @scambier, unfortunately, still the same issue after enabling "Simpler search" - that is, as soon as I finish typing the first 3 letters pro, omnisearch froze.

I have enabled the Debug Verbose logging. And the below is what I got:

When "Simpler search" is disabled, Omnisearch froze, no console log.
When "Simpler search" is enabled, Omnisearch froze, the following is logged in console.

Updated Obsidian to v1.8.3 today, omniSearch is performing as expected now - no more stuck/froze searches.

(Obsidian "Check for updates" is finally redirecting to its website for a manual v1.8 "major" release update.)
