I think i have a similar issue. I used the GUI installer and ran the quicksetup, installed all dependencies and watnot. The only "weird" thing that happened is when I installed affinity, the installer said something like |
|
It happened with me multiple times, and i found out that i needed to open the installer, and change from VKD3D to DXVK, as i use an AMD igpu. For some reason the installer was switching to VKD3D and this got me this bug where after trying to use Affinity, the ram fills up very quickly and the whole system just freezes forcing me to shut down. |

This is not a bug i can solve i have tried for over a year now. |

i installed it few hours ago. first time when i opened it, few other apps were open taking 35-40% ram, i saw a quick surge in ram usage and system crashed. after forcefully shut down, as soon as i open it, i see it is going over 85% -> 90% -> 95% of ram usage and crashing eventually, this time system was not crashed, just the software. no other apps were running this time, before starting this the ram usage was 20%. i have 4gb gpu and 16gb ram. i am using fedora workstation.
