question about current state of development

Hi there, cool project 👍

I am interested in building a soundcloud port for sailfish. I wanted to ask you how the current state of development of sound-for-fish is and whether we could work together. The projects seems to be in pretty early dev.

I would love to do something with python and Qml with pyotherside but still with Qt cpp for some cases where we would have to relay on cpp or just where python is not suitable.

Hey there,

Thank you for your interest, but I have to tell you, that I had to stall the project for this summer. I don't have enough time to continue the development right now. Since sound-for-fish also has been a great learning experience I constantly rewrote code and experimented to discover the functionalities of Qt and how it's libraries works(eg the first page now should theoretically contains a tracklist which I wanted there for easier developing, however I didn't have time to proper implement it, so right now simple streaming isn't working anymore iirc.)
All of this leads to the code beeing a huge mess. I'd be extremly happy if somebody(you?) continued my work during this summer, however I could only join the development again mid september.

As for using other languages to finish the job: If you'd like to use pyotherside feel free, but please keep in mind, that the logic of sound-for-fish should be in the cpp part, to remain independent of UI changes.
