Viewing an inventory in Inspector breaks C# references to its contents

First noticed with Tea Shop example.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Import Tea Shop example, and press Play.
2. Select the player's inventory, and keep it open in the Inspector.
3. Buy anything hot.
4. Mouse over it to show the tooltip.

The tooltip should now be frozen, but the Inspector should show the Temperature still counting down.
