Why is there no preview with 'No such file .react-email\emails'?

When I run email dev the files install and server starts successfully but the emails folder is not found in .react-email/emails so the preview does not load. I imagine its expecting to have copied the templates into this folder, or the email template folder is supposed to looking the project root. I don't how to correct this so I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks
