I use OBR in person with my players. My laptop screen show me the GM map. A TV plugged in my laptop show the Guest map, open from an Incognito Browser. The sharing of data work well, but the Guest screen doesn't get any update until I click on it or interact in any fashion with my second monitor (the TV). I usually set the second screen as a static map, so I don't need to play around it. I would simply interact with the GM map and let the change propagate, which they don't by themselves for the OBR tracker data (see screenshot)
