Description

Trustful Humans can directly talk and share images or other digital resources (photos) each other with no need to perform the usual call setup procedure (invite, ring, accept).

• Alice checks Bob is available for talk, including some images from him captured a minute ago confirms he is having lunch alone
• Alice pushes a "talk and video" button and says "Hi Bob, pls don't forget to pick up the kids today from school"
• Bob immediately listens to what Alice said and watches her image in his screen. Pushes a "join" button and have a short conversation with her.

This use case is valid in case Alice and Bob are subscribers of different CSPs.

Variant 1

to be discussed Trust can be unidirectional e.g. Alice is Bob's boss and only Alice can directly talk with Bob but Bob can not directly talk with Alice.

Differentiation – market relevance

Currently the call setup procedure is always the same and it does not take into account the level of trust between involved parties.

Is this some kind of a walkie-talkie-functionality? Or Push-To-Talk?

That was not my original idea. Just imagine the initial voice prompt from Alice "Hi Bob, pls don't forget to pick up the kids today from school" as a "live and personal" ringtone from Alice. From this point, Bob decides to go on with a live and synchronous conversation with Alice.

But you are right that there should also be an option for Bob to go on with an asynchronous conversation in a "push-to-talk" fashion and the different segments of the conversation could be displayed as Multimedia messages.

Coundn't this be used for broadcast, or intercom? I think this kind of unidirectional conversation can be interesting in some way, but the example of husband and wife my not be the good: I mean, in some situations, even with trust, I prefer to pick up myself.

I guess it will depend on the type of relationship you have :)

But you are right, this example may be a bit sensitive for some persons. Any ideas? Perhaps a business one, eg in remote and distributed work teams?

I agree broadcast could be a variant for this use case
