NVME SB fails on device where SB on eMMC works

When provisioning a Compute Module 5 with Secure Boot and FDE, it fails (systemd FDE unlocker (crypt...) complains there is no such key in any slot) when provisioning for NVME encryption/boot, but the same device does work when provisioned with Secure Boot and FDE on eMMC (with the NVME still present on the device).

EDIT: Note that this a CM5 with CM5IO board.

Issue identified: The provisioning software and the default cryptroot were using slightly different inputs to calculate the unlock passphrase. Corrected by trimming an input string.
