Debian Trixie repository is out of date

vs. https://ppa1.rabbitmq.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server/deb/debian/dists/bookworm/main/binary-amd64/Packages

The Trixie repo only has 3.12.x releases while Bookworm also has 4.0.x.

I know Trixie is not released yet, but we are preparing for it. Since the Trixie ppa exists, and Github releases install alright on Trixie, it would be nice having an up to date ppa.

Reproduction steps

Install Rabbit MQ on a Debian Trixie server, following instructions at https://www.rabbitmq.com/docs/install-debian

RabbitMQ 4.0.5 will be installed from the Debian repository, because the RabbitMQ ppa contains only outdated releases (3.12.x)

Since the Debian packages don't have the same utility scripts included by the RabbitMQ team, some tools don't work properly (rabbitmqctl, rabbitmq-plugins)

Expected behavior

Latest RabbitMQ 4.0.x release is installed from the RabbitMQ ppa.

@sylvainfaivre Trixie has not shipped yet. In addition, it has breaking changes (for our Debian package): an incompatible version of autoconf.

You can change distribution name to bookworm since it's exactly the same package.

I am writing to inquire about the status of the RabbitMQ and Erlang package repositories for Debian.
Debian 13 (codename trixie) has now been released as the new stable version. However, the official repositories for RabbitMQ and Erlang still only provide packages for Debian 12 (codename bookworm).
This makes the installation process on the latest Debian stable release difficult due to dependency issues.
Could you please let me know if there are any plans to provide official packages for Debian 13 (trixie) in the near future?

@KARMA-UA Debian Trixie was released two weeks ago. There hasn't been a single RabbitMQ release in the last two weeks.

I don't buy the difficulty claim: the RabbitMQ package will work just fine on Trixie assuming a compatible version of Erlang/OTP is availalbe for Trixie, which seems to be the case.

I don't have an ETA for when we might add Trixie Erlang builds for Erlang 27 to our repositories. The standard Erlang 27.3 packages should work just fine but in case anyone wants to update our Debian Erlang packages, they are open source.

Ubuntu and Debian doc guide now has a section for Debian Trixie.

It relies on a newly published Trixie version of the RabbitMQ server repository and the fact that Trixie finally provides an Erlang version suitable for running RabbitMQ. Which is particularly great for aarch64 Debian users because our team does not provide aarch64 Debian packages for Erlang.
