Proposal to start a working group that ties in with RCWG meetings/office hours to avoid additional meetings. Initial objective would be to work through nlme bugs: identifying a couple per month for people to look at asynchronously, but knowing that others plan to work on them.

  • create working group channel on R Contributor Slack for discussion of bugs
  • select a couple of bugs to start with and promote
    • Relevant R Core memebrs
    • People that expressed an interest at the R Project Sprint
    • R-SIG-mixed-models mailing list
    • R Contributor social accounts

FWIW I haven't made it to any RCWG meetings (and may not in the near future), but would be happy to help with this in some way.
