Right aligned text with bottom right x y coordinates

I receive text coordinates of the bottom right point when I need to insert right-aligned text.

This is what I have come up with:

            if text.alignRight:
                tw.fill_textbox((0, text.y - text.fontsize - 1, text.x, text.y), text.content, fontsize=text.fontsize,
                                align=fitz.TEXT_ALIGN_RIGHT, font=cur_font)
            else:
                tw.append((text.x, text.y), text.content, fontsize=text.fontsize, font=cur_font)

However the right aligned text is not y-axis aligned with the left aligned text when given the same y point.
The right aligned text appears a few pixels above the left aligned text, and the end of the text is also a few pixels to the left of where it should end.

Is there a better way of doing this or should I just play with the rect I pass to fill_textbox untill it provides me the approximate result I want?

I figured it out.

width = cur_font.text_length(text.content, text.fontsize)
tw.append((text.x - width, text.y), text.content, fontsize=text.fontsize, font=cur_font)
