According to this article, the author wasn't able to delete a document from the Fauxton UI.

A database, actually. It's an upstream problem, for which I just opened a bug. pouchdb/pouchdb-fauxton#8.

On second thought, leaving this open to track the merging back into the extension as soon as it's fixed in the couchdb-fauxton project.

Seems like this is still broken, even though I upgraded to a version of Fauxton that doesn't have the bug.

Firefox error:
[Exception... "File error: Not found" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: resource://jid1-kfpwyfcqqyiyla-at-jetpack/pouchdb-fauxton/data/generated/fauxton/js/pouchdb-offline.js :: injectXHR/MockHttpRequest.prototype.onsend :: line 525" data: no].

Chrome just times out it seems. Although there are some possibly related messages in the console.
