Pop shop is unresponsive while typing a search

The UI often lags or freezes while typing, which makes it difficult to accurately type in a search term.

I also have this issue. Out of the box laptop from system76. I noticed specifically that it lags after 3 characters exactly every time. It's probably something to do with the search-as-you-type feature. It's very reproducible on my machine if someone wants to explain to me how to get the logs.

Figured out how to get the debug log and attached. Definitely lots of errors occurring.

Try the cosmic-store. sudo apt install cosmic-store.

This has been a tremendous upgrade so far. It even shows my currently installed apps. This should do nicely while I look forward to further updates from the devs (thanks devs, you're doing great work here).
