This is currently blocked by limitations in EF Core:

  • Allow value converters to change nullability of columns https://github.com/dotnet/efcore/issues/24685
  • Allow different types for FK/PK if a value converters to compatible provider types are used https://github.com/dotnet/efcore/issues/22542
