Invite guest users to the organization permission

Does anyone know what this PnP Management Shell allows with or without the “Invite Guest users to the organization” permission? I’m envisioning that:
A user would have to be assigned to specific admin roles to invite guests AND the PnP Management Shell would have to allow that permission if the user was using the PnP Management Shell to do the inviting.

Also, an example would be appreciated where "Invite guest users to the organization" would be needed? I can't seem to understand why this permission is listed (see attached)

We plan to exclude this permission, but need to understand if this will impact anything. Thank you.
