Is it possible to have custom tick values for Stream charts?

I'm trying to add values for the ticks in a Stream chart. If I don't specify any tickValues, I get the standard index display. If I add an array for tickValues, they seem to all be displayed on top of one another. The values are also in my source json, in the field "date".
