Starting a new project with Play 1

Hi,
A long time ago I was developing a project with Play Framework - back when version 1 was new :-)
I want to start a new project now, rather than spending time learning other stuff I would like to use Play 1 again (because I loved it so much back then).
Are there drawbacks to starting a new project with Play 1? Should I avoid it now and just use it on my legacy projects?
