[SOLVED] How to change the default google search?

My default search engin is a custom one and Vimium doesn't respect it, it searches on Google when used with O or o. thanks

As soon as this pull request is part of a new release, Vimium should respect the browser's default search engine.

In the meantime, you can customize the default search engine as well as other custom search engines (used with prefixes) in the Vimium options.

Thanks for the reply. I dont want custom engines, too much mental process, I prefer better defaults. Do you know if there is a date for that patch?

There is an option for the Vimium default search engine below the custom search engines. You can put your preferred URL in there and that one will be used without the need to use any prefix.

I don't know when that patch will go into a release version. I'm a bit confused about it myself, to be honest,... Since the Vimium owner merged that pull request in April 2024 already and the linked issue #2598 was automatically closed by the merge. So I'm wondering why there wasn't a new release since then. Maybe it's an issue with additional addon permissions - I think he mentioned something about that in one of the tickets.
