nfcapd should write the reason for its early exit in the Furthermore you may have missed The man page had a formatting error. Hope, this helps :) |

Hey,
I am looking to upgrade my nfdump to 1.7.5 for all of the improvements from 1.6.25. I'm running into issues though with the package where my application isnt currently collecting flow data anymore after updating the package. By any chance is there documentation on changes needed from going from 1.6.x to 1.7.x?
Where I'm currently troubleshooting at is when I run nfcapd I'm getting a return code of 255 but I'm not getting more information on why. I noticed reading the man pages that 1.7.x doesnt seem to have a flag for Daemon mode anymore. Is there any plans to add this functionality in again?
These are the flags I used on 1.6.25:
-I -l -p -x -P -D -e -w -z -T all
and these are the flags that I changed to after reading the man pages for 1.7.5:
-I -w -p -x -P -e -z=lzo -X all
I think these are the correct flags for the flag changes but I could be wrong. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Edit:
I noticed in the man pages that the -D flag is in the Synopsis section but not in the description section. Does this mean that Daemon mode is still part of nfcapd and just missed writing out the flag and description below?
Edit#2:
It seems one of the issues I was having is that -X all does not work. Is their still all functionality for the extension list with -X?
