Currently the local demo environment doesn't allow for datasource configuration, and as it stands most dashboards don't have data when you run the local env.
So would be better to either allow users to pass their own prometheus datasource to test the dashboards. Alternatively to rebuild the local env so we can have metrics for the existing dashboards, that requiring a rework from the current compose to have kubernetes metrics, and the remaining services as well.
