map tile symbology conflicts with station symbology at zoom level 12

I went to the data portal to have a look at precipitation totals from the recent atmospheric river and noticed an issue with the web tiles at zoom level 12. The base map uses triangles to denote location of mountain peaks. At zoom 12, these are the same size and opacity as the station markers. I know there isn't a network with that coverage, but was still a bit confused. Here's a screenshot.

Probably too mush of a pain to fix, but thought I'd alert you to the issue.

I don't think this would be very hard to fix at all, may in fact be just a tweak to the config file.

Some clarification would be helpful here.

The most obvious concern that occurs to me is that the station markers obscure the mountain peak markers. That would make it hard to "navigate" using the map when this is the case.

Is that the (only) problem, or did you have different concerns?
