Ability to make function key hot key for voice transcription

Problem statement

The shortcut to activate voice transcription does not allow for the function fn key to be used.

Proposed solution

Allow for holding down the function fn key to activate voice transcription and stop when it is released (OR) let the key activate it with a first click, and de-activate it with a second click.

afaik I don't think third party apps can use Fn as a hotkey as it is heavily reserved by macOS for system level features. The Carbon API that the app is currently utilizing to register global hotkeys does not allow this by design. This API only accepts combinations of Modifiers (Cmd, Opt, Ctrl, Shift) and a key code.

@tpae please correct me if I'm wrong. If anyone else is aware of a workaround, please feel free to share it here

The major voice transcription apps are able to use it (wisprflow.ai, superwhisper.com, willowvoice.com). I'll do some research on how they do it - I mean I'll ask GPT to do the research 😉.
