If you have two clients open and close one, you go offline completely.

This may be a client thing ngl - I can login as myself on @Mistium 's client, and login as myself using chats.py bot script and trick it into having 2 accounts of me logged in.

Then when i shut the bot down, the client stays fine

when a client disconnects it sends down a disconnect packet. it also sends a connect packet. clients are expected to keep track of how many clients are connected for each user. in future this may change to simply be a single connect packet and a single disconnect when all clients of a certain user are disconnected.
