Introduction
GemTM is an Amsterdam-based development studio specializing in Model Context Protocol servers. Our team, with experience from Grove, Miro, and Tatum, has successfully delivered grant-funded projects for chains like Coinbase and Tezos. We are requesting funding to develop a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI applications to query Hashkey data using natural language.
Project Overview
Accessing blockchain data is challenging for non-technical users due to the specialized skills required, and existing tools like block explorers are primarily designed for developers. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server addresses this by allowing AI applications, particularly large language models (LLMs), to query blockchain data using natural language. This makes blockchain data more accessible and easier to understand, even for those without technical expertise. Additionally, it provides developers with a reusable framework to integrate blockchain data into AI-driven projects, fostering innovation within the Hashkey ecosystem.

Timeline
Week 1: Research and Design
Week 2: Development and Testing
Week 3: Development and Testing
Week 4: Documentation and MCP Server Delivery
Budget
We request $20,000 for this one-month project, covering team compensation, development resources, and infrastructure costs.
Unique Value Proposition
✓ Enables intuitive access for AI applications to process blockchain data.
✓ Provides a reusable and extensible framework for developers across blockchains.
✓ Optimized for Hashkey's architecture.
✓ Combines AI with blockchain data access in a developer-friendly way.
Community and Open Source
We will open-source the MCP server, inviting the Hashkey community to contribute and adapt it. Community input will guide future improvements, ensuring the server meets the ecosystem’s needs.
Future Roadmap
☉ Expand query capabilities to all Hashkey operations.
☉ Create user-friendly deployment strategies.
☉ Add support for advanced Hashkey contract interactions.
☉ Develop more sophisticated query optimization.
Conclusion
This project will enhance Hashkey's ecosystem by enabling AI applications to access its data seamlessly, benefiting both users and developers. We are committed to delivering a high-quality, open-source MCP server and collaborating with the community.
We are available for a detailed discussion of our technical background and relevant experience over a Zoom call at your convenience.
