Is it possible to build this as an individual outside of NASA. On my personal computer.

@mkbenneh Build? Yes. You can even build with Spack which makes it easier:

Note: That might be a bit out of date due to the recent changes in Spack. I'll need to review it. It's also a bit more focused on big clusters. On a personal computer, not much need for SLURM or UCX.
