👋 Hello Designers!

Let’s explore one of the most important principles of UI/UX design — Hick’s Law.

The goal of this task is to design a simple UI screen or user flow that visually demonstrates how reducing or logically grouping choices helps users make decisions faster and more easily.

📘 Hick’s Law

Hick’s Law states that the time it takes for a user to make a decision increases with the number of choices available.

This principle helps users:
• Make decisions faster
• Feel less overwhelmed
• Navigate interfaces more confidently
• Reduce cognitive load

🧩 Task

Design a UI screen or user flow that visually demonstrates Hick’s Law by showing how limiting or logically grouping options improves decision-making.

The screen should look like a real, usable interface, not just isolated components.
Your design must include basic UI elements such as a top navigation bar or header, so it feels like an actual product screen.

The example should clearly show how presenting fewer, well-organized choices helps users make faster and easier decisions without feeling overwhelmed.

❌ vs ✅ Explanation
• ❌ Too many options can overwhelm users and slow down decision-making
• ✅ Fewer or well-grouped options help users choose faster and with more confidence

📋 Your design should:
• Clearly show how reducing or grouping choices improves usability
• Highlight how too many options increase decision time
• Make the difference in clarity and decision-making immediately noticeable to the user

📦 What to Include
• A UI screen or flow demonstrating choice overload vs simplified choices
• Use grouping, prioritization, or progressive disclosure as primary design tools
• Example elements you may use:
• Menus or navigation lists
• Onboarding flows
• Settings screens
• Filters or option panels
• Action buttons

Optional:
• A subtle transition between many options → fewer options
• Minimal labels or hints to guide decision-making

• Use simplicity as the main indicator of better decision-making
• Improve usability and visual hierarchy
• Feel polished and instructional
• Maintain consistency and alignment throughout
