Sync Across devices… #2108

At present, I use LocalSend to migrate key files. One step towards syncing would be automating the process of sending the system config files from one machine to another. This may prove useful for streamlining testing of beta features during development as well. |

I've been thinking about this possibility recently. Currently, I have my main PC and a MacBook M model, which isn’t perfectly supported yet but works thanks to: I’ve been looking into syncing, starting with the KeePassXC database and then my dotfiles configurations. It's funny how much you can actually store in KeePassXC—SSH keys, and more. It’s really starting to feel like a tiny HSM module! I’m leaning towards the idea of having a server to store these data and then using Syncthing to pull and modify them from both my PC and MacBook. Let me know if you have any better ideas |

Same here! I have now three machines with Omarchy :D But mainly my desktop and laptop. I'd love both systems to work the same (plugins etc) |

I got 5 machines, and use Syncthing ( also sync private stuff, no cloud like Dropbox, local hosting, so it suits that well) Syncthing is the the thing , the webUI is dated but otherwise the project is really strong (80k stars on GitHub or something) and actively developed I sync more than 50 folders I think , total around 500GB mostly dev stuff , videos/images are on mobile against another machine, so they don't count toward that size, otherwise it'll be XXTB , no problems at all Syncthing just works in both cases that plugin here gets maintained regularly, has multifolder and cross device support https://github.com/omarchy-QOL/syncshell (disclaimer: I develop it) |

Another one for Syncthing. |

Also Syncthing. I use it across my desktop, MacBook Pro and Omarchy's ThinkPad. I also installed Tailscale so the files is in sync every time I connect to the internet. |

If you want history as well as sync, mise, which already ships with Omarchy, can do this today. You don't need to wait for anything in Omarchy. Your files stay where they are, edits are saved to Git in the background, and a private repository keeps your machines in step: mise dot track ~/.bashrc ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua ~/.config/omarchy/shell.json
mise dot origin set https://github.com/you/omarchy-dots.git --sync syncOn the next machine, run I'm also working on a PR to build this into Omarchy (proposal in #11029). If you try it across your machines, I'd love to hear what works and what's rough. That feedback will shape the PR. Uh oh!

I know the majority of users are either on a laptop + monitor/ laptop or PC.
But what if you had a beast of a PC (that you used for your main) and a laptop for travel. But you wanted to keep your Omarchy experience the same across both devices?
My idea was to create something like what VSC / Jetbrains does with their application settings. So you're able to keep in sync across machines.
Is this something the community would be interested in?
