How to open multiple tabs of an app #14328
|
Hey! I have been using OMARCHY for more than half a year now and one thing bothers me a lot- I have no idea how to open multiple tabs of an app at once. If I launch from walker it just throws my cursor at the already opened app rather than opening a new one. I believe that there just must be some sort of shortcut or something. If anyone has an answer for this stupid question I would be very glad. |

Walker isn't the one focusing the existing window in Omarchy's stock setup. The launcher entries come from Elephant's desktopapplications provider, and that provider only focuses a running app when If you didn't touch that, it's the app refusing, not the launcher. Single-instance apps (Spotify, Discord, Signal, Obsidian, most Electron apps) notice the second launch and just raise the window they already have, and no launcher can get around that. Open the extra window from inside the app (Ctrl+N or Ctrl+Shift+N where supported). Browsers, terminals, Nautilus and the Chromium web apps do open a new window per launch. The Super+Shift shortcuts are a separate case. In |
