capabilities compared to ccl_chrome_indexeddb?

I came across hindsite byway of ccl_chrome_indexeddb and am curious to know the differences in implementation as far as capabilities. I recognize hindsite as a more user-friendly tool with wider system-friendly compatibility whereas ccl_chrome_indexeddb is primarily for use on Windows. I also appreciate the aggregate timeline aspect.

Are the currently supported data sources listed here essentially the same?
