Tooltip - remove onclick persistence?

It seems by default a tooltip persists on click - I tried playing with visibility to remove that behavior but I don't think I can. Is there an easy way of implementing this?

I tried something like:

d3.select(plot)
    .on('click', function() { 
        d3.selectAll("[aria-label='tip]").attr('visibility', 'hidden') 
    }) 
   .on('mousemove', function() { 
        d3.selectAll("[aria-label='tip]").attr('visibility', 'visible') 
    }) 

But that doesnt quite work.... would be nice to just have tooltips be on hover!

Ended up using d3: https://observablehq.com/d/105e4ba3b783bcd2 but curious if like clickEvent: false in Plot.tip could maybe be a feature others would be interested in :)

You can do it within Plot but adding a custom mark that blocks clicks, but that's a bit annoying… definitely want a better solution.
