Use of parents/children is confusing when wanting to display

In my testschool : de-klimop, i have created 'Eerste graad' as a parent for 1ste and 2de leerjaar.
If I click 'Eerste graad', or one of the children, nothing is visible on the calendar. How does this work?
(events created before i 'parented' the class)
The up and down arrow when you click on a child is also very confusing (and doesn't change a thing-)

Suggested fix: when a calendar doesn't have children, it should show as a checkbox instead of collapsible.
