I deactivated Google Play Store in my phone. I only have Aurora Store. After starting the app (v1.2.9) it forces me to go to Google Play Store to download the app, which I don't want to.

Other things I've tried:

  • actually dowloading the app from Google Play seems impossible from my device (Unihertz Jelly Star, Android 13) as Google Play says it's not compatible (but Aurora successfully downloads and installs it)
  • uninstalled the app by keeping the app data and tried installing v1.2.7 but android won't let me (INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE)

by the way you could consider distributing the apks in the releases section on github.

Hey @renyhp, I just uploaded the APK file in the releases. Please give it a try and let me know.

well trying to install it I get the error "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package."

I guess I could try uninstalling the app and deleting my data but I really would like to try everything else before doing that.

Is there any way I can at least backup the data I inserted in the app, from outside the app itself? This way I could at least uninstall it completely then reinstall v1.2.7. I tried with adb backup com.naveenapps.expensemanager but it gives me an empty file.

Or, another workaround would be to get the apk for v1.2.7 and try to force downgrade via adb.

Anyway, I think the best fix would be to not force the app to be installed from the Google Play Store. Why should it?
