Some of our use cases are macOS based and our flow would benefit greatly from bringing those M-class cores to good use on AI crunch. I realize that those are two separate challenges, but was wondering if you could possibly provide a broad idea on what feasibility and vague schedule range on something like that would look like. "Never going to work" / "Not this year" / "mac yes, M-chip, no" etc.

Yes to all, I just need money and hardware. I don't own any M-chip hardware, x86_64-darwin hardware, etc. I can maintain these things if I were to be sent hardware, and potentially rewarded financially in some way. There isn't much incentive to support macOS otherwise.

There is a "professional support" section on the https://nixified.ai website. And if you watch the video, you'll find out that Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows are very professional operating systems that require a professional to take a look.

Alternatively, feel free to make PRs and support macOS stuff yourself, or encourage others to.

Hey Matthew - thank you for the quick and clear response! Super understandable and I did indeed spot and appreciate the professional professional section of the video :)

We're a two-person shop hacking at this and unfortunately at this moment do not have the budget for extra hardware purchases or other larger sponsorships in this direction. Hopefully we get to a place some day where that changes :) Obviously we're keen to otherwise support, but I don't immediately spot a continuous donation platform linked from the website?

Our fallback is to run this on NixOS like all our other remote services, so we are definitely not sunk - just needed a clear idea of feasibility for running more broadly as well. I'll leave this issue open in case 🤞 someone stops by with a different budget scale?

More than happy to accept contributions and add you to the AUTHORs file, and also send funds your way whenever they roll in. I'm waiting on GitHub sponsors in order to start receiving funds for the project. Microsoft are taking their sweet time to approve that, maybe they watched the video and decided to shadow ban me.

Thanks - I'll bring that up and review options to contribute when we get further in this r&d :) Will keep an eye out for the sponsorship - I bet the review is just sat in a very professional queue.
