The approval request feature is designed to add a layer of accountability and control to student bathroom usage during class. When a student wants to leave the classroom:

 1. They submit a digital request through the platform, specifying their name, time of request, etc.

 2. The request is sent to the teacher or supervising staff in real-time.

 3. The teacher reviews the request and can either approve or deny it with a simple click.

 4. Once approved, the system logs the student's time out and starts tracking the duration of their visit.

 5. Upon return, the student logs back in, marking the time in, and the full bathroom visit is recorded in the system.

The feature helps:

 1. Prevent abuse of bathroom privileges.

 2. Track patterns in usage (e.g., frequent or unusually long visits).

 3. Maintain a digital log for easy reference by teachers and administrators.

Access

To access the admin approval request feature, go to the Spring 2025 website and log in with an admin account.

Locate the drop-down menu from the nav bar at the top of the screen and click "Approval Request."
