Reverse generation from metadata json files

Is there a way to use a folder of metadata json files to generate the corresponding images from your layer/asset files?

I saw this issue (#106) that explains the usage of the rebuildAll utility script with a _dna.json file, but if you want to have a number of preset combinations to generate, that means you have to manually create a _dna.json file with all of the sequences which isn't a simple task.
