Hi! My Android App isn't getting any news since I did upgrade my nextcloud installation I tried the occ api, it seems to work fine. I can list my feeds and generate an OPML, so i have at least a backup. Any idea how to check what happened here and how to make it work again? BR, René |

Hey, what does the android client say when you refresh manually? Is there maybe a little popup at the bottom of the screen? Did you check the Nextcloud log for errors shortly after synchronizing? The white page is an known issue the front-end is outdated and only received dependency upgrades in the last years, there is some work going on to replace it based on shared code within Nextcloud. |

I get the following messages on firefox script console when loading the news page: Trying to be nice, I switched Firefox' language to english and suddenly it works! The english messages differ (obviously): Switching back to german and doing CTRL-F5 on the news to avoid any browser cache effects restores the error. Btw: This is the first time i'm using the web interface on nextcloud 20 (I'm usually only using the android app), so probably it already didn't work with 20.0.5. Unfortunately I can't go back to nextcloud 19 easily to double-check. All I can tell is that I've used it in the past, but that may have also been nc 18 or even earlier. |

Alright bottom line is it works again for you and you didn't find any logs why the update stopped working. Regarding the front-end, as I said it's outdated since years, the web moves fast and Nextcloud itself has changed too at some point stuff breaks, which is why you have some companies that will tell the employes to open an internal tool only with IE... At some point stuff breaks. As I already said there is already a person working on a replacement but this will take more time as he can only work on it in his spare time |

I hope it won't take too long, then. I tried to debug it myself (thinking it can't be too hard if it works in english, but not in german...), but "unfortunately", it works when running it in the firefox js debugger. So that's probably some kind of race condition I encounter reproducibly. And that's also where my bit of webdev experience ends :( |

It has nothing to do with the languagey it's just a correlation not causation. The web-frontend might still take a long time, nothing we can do about that though, nobody of us is payed to work on news and so it's just a hobby, which we all do with passion but some things just take longer |

Whenever I had this, the issue went away after trying to reload, I think. At least it's not persistent but also nothing fixable at this time.
