0U devices imported as 1U devices and placed in racks.

We have downloaded device types for appliance firewall from community repository and based on them created more than half hundred devices. So these devices occupy 1U each in different location. In reality these appliances does not occupy 1U height and are installed in designated chassis, placed on the shelf or fixed to the back of a racks using fastening straps. We are not eager to create duplicate device types differing by height and having/having not "child" attribute. What would be your recommendations to resolve this issue.
