Describe the bug

Hi, I noticed an issue with the timezone data for Almaty and Astana in the library. Currently, both cities are listed as GMT+6:00, but this information is outdated.

As of now:

Astana (Kazakhstan) operates in GMT+5:00.
Almaty (Kazakhstan) also operates in GMT+5:00.
This discrepancy may cause incorrect time calculations for users relying on these timezones. Please update the timezone mapping for these cities to reflect the current GMT+5:00 offset.
And in general the entire time zone of Kazakhstan is GMT+5:00

Hey thanks for pointing this out.

We're parsing timezones via timezone-soft, so any inaccuracies should be mentioned there (https://github.com/spencermountain/timezone-soft/issues)

Closing this issue. We're only consuming timezone data from the above mentioned dependency - that's where all timezone related issues should be pointed 🙏

@ndom91 ndom91 closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Feb 12, 2025
