Desktop startup failed on macOS with Intel chip.

Hardware: 2013 MacPro (Intel Xeon E5)
System: MacOS Monterey (12.7.6)

I downloaded the desktop app Multica 0.4.2, but it automatically quit silently upon launch. To figure out what was going on, I tried to launch it in the terminal using Multica 0.4.2/Multica.app/Contents/MacOS/Multica and capture the error information. After running, only one line appeared: [63200:0716/142953.654559:ERROR:electron/shell/common/node_bindings.cc:484] Most NODE_OPTIONs are not supported in packaged apps. See documentation for more details. This might be caused by the NODE_OPTIONS environment variable not being handled properly during packaging. I hope the author can resolve this issue in the next version. Thanks!

Thanks for the report. I opened PR #5589 with a fix: #5589

Root cause: packaged Electron reads inherited NODE_OPTIONS before Multica's main process can sanitize the environment, so unsupported Node options can abort launch before renderer startup.
Fix: the Desktop electron-builder config now disables the Node options and run-as-node fuses for packaged builds, with a regression test locking those settings.
Validation: pnpm --dir apps/desktop exec vitest run scripts/package.test.mjs, pnpm --dir apps/desktop run typecheck:node, and pnpm --dir apps/desktop run test passed; make check-worktree was blocked by Docker not running, and the macOS x64 package smoke test reached the Electron production build before failing on local temp disk space during Go CLI cross-compile.

I will keep an eye on CI and review feedback.
