Describe the bug

I'm able to touch the screen to make the mouse move, but the touchpad on my Android tablet doesn't control the mouse. Is that expected behavior? Is there an option I can change to enable direct control of mouse with my touchpad?

This is a Lenovo Tab Extreme with the keyboard/touchpad that came with it from the factory.

Steps to reproduce

  • Use mouse to start connection to a remote machine
  • Observe that the Android cursor disappears and the target machine does not respond to movement of finger on touchpad
  • Confirmed that touching the touchscreen does move the cursor on the target machine

PS. I just tested with iPad Pro (with Apple Magic Keyboard/Touchpad) and the touchpad on that device does control the mouse for the same target system.

It's only the Android client that seems to be ignoring the touchpad ...
