You'd be way better off deleting the old Weasel/Annotation stuff. I flagged it as deprecated 5 years ago, and it's really kinda rubbish.
You should (well, maybe) be able to do a big find and replace across the monolith to use the doctrine-annotations based annotations. There'll be some non-trivial cases where writing some sed to do the work will be hard, but spending the time fixing them by hand would be worth it to let you delete a chunk of slightly suspect code.
